AC/DC “Black Ice” Tour in Indianapolis Review

AC/DC is on tour promoting their new album “Black Ice“.  Brian and I aren’t going to be able to catch one of the shows.  We really wanted to be able to provide you with a review so when my 12 year old daughter told me her friend Jared was going to the concert in Indianapolis, I asked Jared if he would write me a review of the show.  He said he would and his dad told me that he was diligently typing into his cell phone during the whole show. 

Here is a review written by guest blogger Jared, a 12 year old boy, at his first rock concert with his dad. 

AC/DC opened the sold out concert in Indianapolis with their big hit “Rock N’ Roll Train” from their new album “Black Ice“.  There were three big screens across the back of the stage.  During the song, the screens split and a train came out between them spewing fire.  AC/DC played several songs from the new album: “Black Ice“, “War Machine“, “Anything Goes” and “Big Jack“. 

AC/DC played all their classic hits also.  From the Bon Scott days,  ”Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be” and “Highway to Hell” and the crowd favorites, “Shook Me All Night Long“, “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap“, “Back In Black“, “Whole Lotta Rosie” and “The Jack“.  The lights were dimmed for “Hells Bells“.  During the finale  “For Those About to Rock“, Angus took off his suit jacket and ran down the aisle to a platform which lifted him about 20 feet in the air where he performed an awesome guitar solo. 

Well that gives you a pretty good idea of the set list and special effects for the show.  Thanks to Jared for sharing his AC/DC experience with us.  Jared and his dad must have really enjoyed the show because when I was at their house, his dad was online looking for tickets so they could go see them again!
