Three Days Grace Rocks Rockfest – Review

Three Days Grace Rocks Rockfest! What I don’t understand is why Three Days Grace hasn’t been booked at Rockfest before. I can seriously see these guys headlining Rockfest someday. They flat out rock!

Being a band whose music is anger driven, Three Days Grace took no time at all whipping the crowd into a frenzy with a couple of big hits off their ONE X album, “Animal” and “Pain“. As I stood up on the bench and took some pictures of the crowd, it was very apparent that this crowd, which mainly consisted of middle aged people, seemed to know all the words to the songs. Pretty cool for a fairly young band. Speaking of standing on the bench, Britne and I were eating supper and this couple sitting by us told us that a guy with a Cant Stop Rockin t-shirt like ours almost fell on him while taking pictures. I had to tell him it was me. They got a good chuckle out of it! What are the odds with all the people at Rockfest that we would end up at a table with him?

Well back to the show. They played a mixture of songs from the albums ONE X and their self titled album Three Days Grace such as “Get Out Alive“, “Just Like You“, “Hate Everything About You“, “Never Too Late“, “Scared“, “Riot“, “Gone Forever” and “Home“. The band also had a few suprises in store for us. In the middle of the show they broke out some “Rooster” by Alice In Chains and the last song they played was “Nice Shot” by Filter.

We were very pleased with the performance. Upon talking to several other people over the course of the Fest, the buzz was very positive. Hopefully Three Days Grace will hit the stage again at Rockfest!

There is only one more performance scheduled and that is with the Foo Fighters on August 29, 2008 in Milwaukee, WI. Click here for ticket info We’ll keep you posted of any upcoming tour dates.
