2008 Rockin The Rivers Music Festival
If you live in Montana and love classic rock, then Rockin The Rivers is the music festival for you. The festival was started back in 1999 near Three Forks, Montana in the Jefferson River Canyon. The site is on 140 acres that naturally form an amphitheater with awesome acoustics. The festival draws approximately 5,000 visitors each year. There is a campground with showers but no water or electrical hookups and there is a convenience store. The festival also has food vendors. The 2008 festival is August 8th, 9th and 10th.

Dennis DeYoung (the music of Styx) – We saw him twice last year. He has a beautiful and powerful voice and a great stage show with lots of crowd interaction!

They offer 1 day, 3 day and VIP tickets. The prices range from $50 for one day to $275 for VIP. Campsites are $65. Be sure to check out our Festival Planner before packing for this one.

Thanks for the feedback about the Rockin’ the River music festival. This is one festival that I’m not sure we’ll ever make it to since it is so far away from us. I understand how a festival like this can become a tradition though. Rockfest in Cadott, WI definitely is for us. We renew our tickets every year before we even know the lineup because the whole festival experience isn’t dependent on just the bands, it is the friends you meet too. It starts to feel like a family reunion. Maybe next year you would be interested in writing a review of the festival for us?
