Comstock Music Festival – Comstock Rock 2009
The dates for the 2009 Comstock Music Series, Comstock Rock have been announced. It will be held July 31, 2009 through August 2, 2009. The Comstock website states that the dates may be flexible for a couple of years until they find the dates that work best.
Last year was the festival’s first year under new ownership by Jim Proskocil. He intends to put the festival back on track. The annual event is held in Comstock, NE.
There are no lineup announcements yet and no word on when tickets will be available. Be sure to check back because we will update as soon as information is available. Update 3/15/09: Tickets are on sale but it appears the festival is having some trouble obtaining corporate sponsors. We’ll keep you posted!
Update 6/23/09: The festival is being held July 31 – Aug 2, 2009 and the location on the grounds has been moved to two miles east of Comstock on Comstock-Ord Road. The festival will be set up on the south edge of the property behind a windbreak. The festival is being completely started over so this year it is being dubbed a “Pasture Party” and will feature a beer tent with beer bands playing for 3 days. So it doesn’t appear that there will be any headlining bands this year, but there will still be a party for all of you interested. Tickets are $40 for all three days if purchased before July 1. After July 1 prices are $20 a day or all three days for $50. Camping is free, no electricity available but you can bring generators, parking is free, and children are free. The owners would appreciate feedback, questions, suggestions, etc at service@comstockmusic.net. For more information or to obtain tickets, please visit the official website.

Dear Sir
I live in Manhattan Ks and I have been to Comstock rock from 2004-2007 We usually have about 10 of us that go.Last year we wasn’t sure what was going on so we didn’t plan any thing. We do look forward to going again so any info we can get would be apprieceated. It is fairly well known about down here but without advertising people don’t realize when it is.
thanks
