Final lineup for 2008 Rock on the Range
The 2008 Rock on the Range starts in just 2 days! The event is held at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH. This is the second year for the event. Last year the festival sold out! They have added an additional day this year to meet the demand. Tickets are still available. All tickets are general admission and Field GA is $99.50 for both days, Stadium GA is $114.50 for both days. One day tickets for Saturday or Sunday are also available for $54.50 and $64.50. I do believe that the VIP hotel packages and the camping packages are sold out. If you need hotel accommodations, I always use the Priceline Name Your Price feature(especially for last minute travel)and get very good deals.

This is a Rain or Shine event and the forecast for Columbus this weekend according to The Weather Channel is 40% chance of rain both Saturday and Sunday with the possibility of scattered thunderstorms on Saturday. The temperature range is supposed to be highs from the upper 60’s and the lows in the lower 50’s to upper 40’s.
I don’t know about you, but a little rain and chilly temperatures wouldn’t stop me from Rocking out all weekend! Be sure to pack warm clothes and raingear. We can’t go because my brother-in-law is graduating from Millikin University this weekend. We’re very proud of him. We’ll be there next year though. If you attend the event, please post some comments and let us know how it was. With the bands that are going to be there I know the music will be great, I’m interested in details like food and drink prices, the parking situation, camping, traffic to and from the stadium (for those of you who stay in a hotel instead of camping), and most importantly whether or not you’d go back again. Thanks !!

Its official, MOXY, ACE FREHLEY, QUUENSRYCHE, TESLA WILL HEADLINE the south texas rock fest, VS rocklahoma weak lineup.
Pete,
All the bands you mentioned, Ace Frehley, Queensryche, and Tesla are playing at Rocklahoma. Moxy is not however. (At least not confirmed yet) Rocklahoma added a 5th day and they have not announced the final lineup yet. Here’s the website so you can check out the lineup. http://rock.feverfest.com/ I think both of these festivals will ROCK and I wish I was going to one of them instead of Rockfest in Cadott, WI.
saturday was a hell of a show. all the bands were amazing. killswitch, staind, shinedown, and disturbed definitely rocked out and did well to set the stage for the stone temple pilots. all i gotta say is STP is one of the best bands to see live.
Mark,
Thanks for the feedback. We’re going to see STP at Rock Fest in July and I am glad to hear they put on a good show!
I would like to know if Rock on the Range will be at the same place in Columbus OH this 2009? But can you change the date for something more warm, man last year was really cold.
I hopw this continue if you need promotion for the hispaniuc community going, can contact me, I run a hispanic newspaper at Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky
Best Regards
Nachy,
According to the Rock on the Range website, the festival will be held at Columbus Crew Stadium again this year. Unfortunately, it will be the same weekend as last year, May 16 & 17. Let’s hope the weather is warmer this year. No bands have been announced yet. We’ll keep you posted.
