Former Van Halen Bassist, Michael Anthony, Hurt Feelings and Chickenfoot

Michael Anthony says he was shocked because of the way he found out he wasn’t going to be a part of Van Halen’s reunion with David Lee Roth. “I found out when the rest of the fans found out, early last year,” that he was kicked out of Van Halen. He adds, “I clicked on the website and they took my pictures off the old record covers and replaced them with Wolfgang, even the first album cover! This in addition to being replaced by Eddie’s 16 year old son, Wolfgang, really was a bitter blow!”. Two days later the pictures were returned to normal.

Anthony is currently working on an album with Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani and Chad Smith, drummer from Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their band is called “Chickenfoot”. Their first album is due out sometime next year.

Sammy Hagar has a new solo album “Cosmic Universal Fashion” to be released on November 18, 2008. Expect guest appearances by the Cult’s Billy Duffy and Matt Sorum and Michael Anthony. Check out the video for the new album posted at RoadRunnerRecords.com.
