Rock n Resort Music Festival in Northeast Ohio

This will be the 5th Annual Rock N Resort Music Festival. The festival is July 18th through 20th and is held at the Clay’s Park Resort in Canal Fulton, OH. This resort is a 500 acre site with a 10 acre lake. The amenities are endless. The resort features full service RV camping with water and electric hook-ups, laundry facilities, plus shower and restroom facilities. There are lots of activities such as the water park, indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, golf driving range, tennis and basketball courts, miniature golf, sand volleyball and horse shoe courts, baseball fields, trails for mountain biking, walking or hiking, game room, paddleboats and fishing. There is a restaurant, general store and bar on site also.

Of course, the big bonus is Classic Rock Music ! This year’s lineup on the Main Stage is:

Molly Hatchet – 7:30 PM

Saturday, July 19th
Savoy Brown – 3:30 PM
Nazareth with Manny Carlton – 5:30 PM
Santana’a original lead vocalist, Gregg Rolie – 7:30 PM
Sweet – 9:30 PM

Sunday, July 20th
Blue Oyster Cult – 6:00 PM
Creedence Clearwater Revisited – 8:00 PM

There are four stages total. The other stages feature regional bands.

Tickets are still available. This sounds like a great music festival and one that even the kids would enjoy. We can’t attend because we’ll be at Rockfest, but if you attend, let us know all about it!

2008 Rockin The Rivers Music Festival

If you live in Montana and love classic rock, then Rockin The Rivers is the music festival for you. The festival was started back in 1999 near Three Forks, Montana in the Jefferson River Canyon. The site is on 140 acres that naturally form an amphitheater with awesome acoustics. The festival draws approximately 5,000 visitors each year. There is a campground with showers but no water or electrical hookups and there is a convenience store. The festival also has food vendors. The 2008 festival is August 8th, 9th and 10th.

Dennis DeYoung (the music of Styx) – We saw him twice last year. He has a beautiful and powerful voice and a great stage show with lots of crowd interaction!

They offer 1 day, 3 day and VIP tickets. The prices range from $50 for one day to $275 for VIP. Campsites are $65. Be sure to check out our Festival Planner before packing for this one.
