Price of admission for adults, anyone over 10, is $15 after 4:00 pm & on weekends, $10 weekdays (noon to 4:00 pm). Seniors, anyone over 60, is $3, children, 3 – 10, are $3 when accompanied by an adult and children under 2 are free. Admission gets you into the festival and you can also enjoy entertainment at any of the Grounds Stages at no additional charge. The Marcus Amphitheater is the only stage that requires you to purchase a reserved ticket.

We have seen Trapt and Motley Crue before and they were both great shows. Motley Crue was in the summer of 2005 during the Carnival of Sins tour. Vince Neil’s voice is not what it used to be, but we didn’t care. The words he missed, the crowd didn’t. The stage show was full of fire, circus performers and Tommy Lee’s drum solo was awesome!

Trapt we saw as an opening band for Nickelback in March of 2006. They were very good then and I would love to see them again. They have a sound all their own and they are full of energy on the stage.

The second stage will feature the video game Rock Band and fans will have an opportunity to play the game on the second stage as a vocalist, guitarist, bassist or drummer. They are also going to give “Rock Bands” the opportunity to battle it out for the chance to play on the concert stage between acts. Anyone who competes is automatically entered to win a 2008 Lotus Elise. Very cool car !!

The ticket prices vary depending on venue, but to give you an idea, it appears that the lawn seating starts at $30 (some venues even less if buying a 4 ticket block) and GA standing room only are around $95 with reserved seating ranging from $45 – $75. I think those are pretty fair prices considering you get to see 5 top notch bands. There are also VIP ticket Packages for around $245. The packages include :

1. 1 seat within the first 15 rows of the stage. For venues that have a GA pit, the seat will be in the first 15 rows behind the GA area.
2. Motley Crue concert shirt
3. A set of official Motley Crue guitar picks
4. A $25 voucher to the official Motley Crue on-line store.

I would love to go see this show, but the only dates near us are while we’re at RockFest. Maybe we could figure out a way to catch the Chicago show on our way to Wisconsin……If any of you make it to the show let us know how it was.
