Sebastian Bach to Rock the Playboy Mansion!

Have you always wanted to party at The Mansion? That would be the Playboy Mansion and now is your chance. There are many festivities planned. On Friday, August 29 from 9 pm until 1 am there is a VIP party at the 944 Lounge on Sunset Blvd with DJ cb Shaw. On Saturday, August 30, 2008 the Mansion is having a party with Sebastian Bach, cb Shaw, Desiree Cuchiara, and the Martini Club for entertainment. The party is from 7:00 pm until 12:00 am. There is a dress code, men have to come dressed like a rock star and women have to be dressed as a naughty school girl, rock groupie or in lingerie. Then there is an After Party at the Hotel Angeleno from 11 pm until 3 am. On Sunday, August 31, 2008 from 12 pm until 4 pm there is a pool party at the Hotel Angeleno. The closing party is at Boulevard 3 in Hollywood, CA. Access to all the festivities is based on the ticket package you purchase.

Front Row (General admission) tickets start at $750 and include:

access to play on the grounds including the pool and grotto, admission to the mansion, open bars, dinner buffets, and party entertainment on Saturday. You will get to meet some of the Playmates.
You will also have access (for additional fees) to the Hotel Angeleno, the After Party at the Hotel Angeleno, the Sunday Pool Party at the hotel (hotel guests and VIP only), and the closing party on Sunday, August 31 at Boulevard 3 in Hollywood, CA.

The Press Pass (Shared VIP) tickets start at $2500 per person and include all the amenities of the Front Row package plus:

Poison & Sebastian Bach Rock Peoria Civic Center – Review of Show

Star date, Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Peoria Civic Center…Arrived a few minutes late and Baz was already singing. Packed to the nosebleed section, we were lucky enough to score some good seats, stage right. Poison rocked the place with a compilation of their 22 years of hits. For those of you that crave set lists, I’m sure you can find one. I personally don’t need them, I’d rather go feel the songs. Costume changes, giant screen images, pyro technics and an amazing burst of colored confetti signaled the concerts end. Very, very visual! Bret was extremely charming as were all the guys. They told everyone where they would be for the after party (rather cool) for a meet and greet. Perfect and polished in every way.
Sebastian hit the stage and took total control. If it was his job to warm up the crowd, he did a damn fine job. No costume changes, no giant screen, no pyro technics, just the awesome vocal and physical presence were enough! He sang some of his old Skid Row tunes and songs from his new Angel Down CD. He really interacted with the crowd and was a force to be reckoned with. He has a song on his new CD called “Back In The Saddle Again” but I got news for ya…he has always been in that saddle. Yippy-ki-yay mother-trucker!
Sure to please show…get your tickets early!!!…and oh yes…get the Angel Down CD!

2008 Moondance Jam – Complete Lineup

The Moondance Jam is held every year in Walker, MN on a wooded 300 acre site. The dates for 2008 are July 9th – 12th. There are still tickets available but ticket sales end on July 6th. This festival offers VIP tickets which include special VIP seating in the VIP tent with tables, chairs, full bar, handwashing stations and restrooms. Beer, Jack Daniels Country Coolers, pop and water are included while in the VIP tent. Dinner and appetizers each day are included also. The VIP ticket holders also get the opportunity to watch the show from the VIP Stage box and to enter daily drawings for a chance to attend a Meet-n-Greet with the bands.

Camping is not included with ticket purchase. There is a reserved camping area and some of these sites have electric hookups, and there is general camping. If you are camping with a group, reserved camping is the way to go. The general camping is assigned as you arrive and they will not hold sites for late arrivals. Shower facilities are provided for all campers. The restroom facilities are portable.

Good lineup! There are also 2 other stages, the Lazy Moon Acoustic Stage and the Saloon Stage, which feature regional bands most of the day.

I have not ever attended Moondance Jam so I can’t tell you what the experience is like, but I personally am wondering about the pricing. It seems a little high to me. The VIP tickets are $425 for a 4 day pass. There is only dinner and appetizers included, and of course drinks during the show. (Some festivals serve lunch also) This is close to what I would expect to pay for VIP. The camping is what seems high to me. Of course the camping is an additional fee which is the way most festivals offer it, but it is additional per person, not campsite. The per person fee ranges from $80 to $100 and then the site fees are $25 for reserved and $200 – $250 for reserved electrical camping. There isn’t a site fee for general camping, just the per person fee. I have always paid a set fee for a campsite no matter how many people were sleeping there. Most festivals do restrict their campsites to one sleeping unit though.

Have any of you attended Moondance Jam? If so, how do you feel about the pricing? Maybe the porta potties are kept very clean and the shower facilities are awesome. These types of services could justify the additional cost. Let me know what you think.
