The dates for 2009 are June 25 – July 5. The festival is held in downtown Milwaukee along the shores of Lake Michigan. The festival features 11 stages and admission to all of them is included with the price of general admission except for the Marcus Amphitheater. The Marcus Amphitheater is the only stage at Summerfest that requires an additional reserved ticket or, for some shows, a free bar-coded wristband given away for general admission lawn seating. Festival admission is included in the price of reserved seat tickets for performances taking place at the Marcus Amphitheater during Summerfest.

General Admission tickets available:
Adults (over the age of 10) $15 evenings (after 4:00 pm) and Weekends
Adults $8 weekdays (Noon to 4 pm)
Seniors (60 and over) $3
Children (3 – 10) accompanied by an adult $3
Children (2 and under) FREE
